Dubai Museum

Dubai Museum is housed in the Al Fahidi Fort, the oldest existing building in Dubai dating back to 1787. Originally built to defend Dubai Creek, the fort has served as a residence for the ruling family, seat of government, garrison, and prison before becoming a museum in 1971. The museum offers a fascinating journey through Dubai's history, from its origins as a fishing village to its transformation into a modern metropolis. Exhibits include dioramas of traditional Emirati life, ancient artifacts, old maps, and underground galleries showcasing pearl diving, desert life, and maritime traditions.
