Spice Souk

The Spice Souk is one of Dubai's most atmospheric traditional markets, located in the heart of Deira near the Gold Souk. The narrow covered walkways are lined with shops overflowing with colorful spices, aromatic herbs, dried fruits, nuts, and traditional remedies. The air is filled with the intoxicating scents of saffron, frankincense, cardamom, and countless other spices from across the Middle East, India, and beyond.

The souk has operated for decades, maintaining its traditional charm despite Dubai's modernization. Vendors are knowledgeable and often explain the uses of different spices and herbs. Bargaining is expected and part of the experience. Many shops also sell traditional Arabian perfumes, incense, and handicrafts. It's an authentic slice of old Dubai that shouldn't be missed.
